How To Enable root user in Ubuntu

By default  root user is disabled in Ubuntu , because his password is not set . If you enable the root user to follow these instructions.

Set The root user Password:

intzar@ubuntu:~$ sudo passwd root
[sudo] password for intzar:
Enter new UNIX password:
Retype new UNIX password:
passwd: password updated successfully
intzar@ubuntu:~$

Switch to root user:

To switch the root user  , you can use ‘ su ‘ command.

intzar@ubuntu:~$ su root
Password:
root@ubuntu:/home/intzar# cd
root@ubuntu:~#
